Ashley- Dartmouth - Overview
The property is in a convenient and practical location in an extremely quiet street, one minute walk to the famous river embankment and also to Coronation Park with its tennis courts, swings and large, grassy play area. Easy, two to three minute stroll to centre of town. The award winning Blackpool sands is a short drive away.
Large, dual aspect lounge and separate dining room – both those rooms with superb river views. Lounge with one sofa and three individual chairs and 42 inch HD TV. Two large bedrooms both with spectacular river views (one double with en-suite, one with two single beds). Two bathrooms. Broadband access (the property is in a BT Broadband 'hot-spot' - please ask for more details if you would like to make use of this. Unrestricted (no yellow lines) street parking approx. 125 metres from property. Master Bedroom: large, light room with spectacular views over River Dart and Kingswear and brand new ensuite with bath and shower. Window blinds for the three large velux windows keep out light when required. Twin bedroom: Spacious, light, twin bedroom with TV, fitted wardrobes and superb river. The kitchen, stairwell and hallways have uninterrupted views of the magnificent Britannia Royal Naval College while the lounge, dining room and both bedrooms have dramatic, far reaching river and harbour views. There is a family bathroom with large walk in shower as well as a full en suite bathroom (with bath) in the master bedroom. An added advantage of this property is unrestricted (no yellow lines) street parking approx 125 metres from property.
Like many of the streets at right-angles to the river, the street which this property is located on is on a hill and the house is approximately 120 metres up the slope from the river embankment. It's quite a steep slope although it is only about 120 metres and ...putting all this in some kind of context, this street is like many in Dartmouth and it poses no problems for many of the more senior locals who pass by with their shopping bags every day! Also, because it's such a quiet street one can easily drive up and unload any bags etc without causing any kind of obstruction because by Dartmouth standards, this street is a decent width!
Very quiet location, yet easy access to town and enjoying the most spectacular views both up and down the river as well as across to Kingswear. Set In an elevated position overlooking the town, the River Dart and the Royal Naval College, this property shares the same popular layout as Dartview House and Heywood i.e. comprising the top two floors of a large Victorian townhouse. Unlike many Dartmouth 'holiday homes', the property benefits from very generously proportioned rooms and as a result has an obvious feel of light and space. Another great advantage of this property is the fact that it has both a lounge and also a separate dining room - something rare in the majority of holiday lets.
