Set within one of the prettiest parts of the Dartmouth countryside, this property overlooks glorious, rolling Devon landscapes and the picturesque rural valley which leads down to one of the tributaries of the River Dart estuary. Superbly convenient setting only three minutes approx. from the historic and beautiful town of Dartmouth. Comments from previous guests regularly refer to the chalet and its lovely location offering very good value compared to many of the other self catering options in Dartmouth (and with the added benefit of space, views, comfort and quiet). Visitors appreciate the views, the tranquility and the way in which the property is ideal for either relaxing in or using as a base for exploring this stunningly beautiful area.
Most of the chalets are set out in a short terrace style (this chalet is end of terrace and benefits from a lovely grassy area in front and also to the side) with spectacular views over adjoining countryside - ideal for children to play on and or relaxing in the sun . The chalet looks onto one of the most picturesque rural areas of the South Devon countryside just minutes from the historic town of Dartmouth in the tranquil countryside setting of Norton Park. A stunning location with wonderful views of the rolling Devon landscape and only a short drive from the superb Blackpool Sands and Slapton beaches. Adjacent to most of the chalets are numerous grassy areas. This is a great location for taking advantage of nearby Dartmouth's excellent range of ‘characterful’ cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops and is a particularly practical location (if you don't wish to drive on holiday) being on a bus route down into Dartmouth (very short journey - 2 mins approx) and the nearby beaches. A tranquil, practical location with glorious rural views, no problems with parking, easy access to beaches and surrounded by beautiful countryside yet only a short drive to Dartmouth, the estuary embankment and the superb local beaches (Blackpool Sands and Slapton).
Comment from guest staying in chalet REV:
“Just to let you know we had a great week down at the chalet-and what a chalet it was! Everything you could possibly ask for- a real home from home. Don't think we have ever been to a self catering establishment before that was so well equipped”. (Leila Laycock)

Dartmouth Area
Dartmouth and its olde-world centre is considered the capital of Devon's spectacular South Hams region famous for peaceful rolling countryside, renowned coastline, excellent beaches (Blue Flag status) & coastal walks along footpaths leading to secluded beaches. The local focal point is Dartmouth's bustling harbour and broad, wooded river. The town is designated a Conservation Area with 16th and 17th century timbered buildings, historic narrow streets, beautiful old shops, intimate pubs and excellent restaurants.
In addition to the stunning local beaches, numerous attractions include the town's outdoor swimming pool, pleasure cruises upriver to Totnes; Sailing or hiring motor boats for exploring the river or fishing; taking the Kingswear car ferry across to Torbay's more bustling resorts of Brixham, Paignton and Torquay (10-15 minutes) or travelling on the restored steam train running between Kingswear and Paignton. Tennis is available in Dartmouth's Coronation Park and the excellent town golf course is less than 5 minutes drive.
For fishing enthusiasts there are plenty of opportunities to join a sea fishing charter boat for flat fish, bream, pollock, bass and mackerel. Sharks and Conger Eel are also caught regularly. Fresh water fishermen have abundant opportunities for both coarse and game fishing in well stocked reservoirs or on river beats.
