DartView – Dartmouth
Dartview is an extremely comfortable Dartmouth townhouse conversion over two floors with a balcony off the lounge providing spectacular river views as well as views out to the river-mouth and to the sea beyond. (See the gallery of mini photos on this page and also click on the ‘More Photos’ page).
Providing superb river views from lounge & balcony, DartView is one of the few properties in Dartmouth with a close range, open view (through patio doors in lounge), all the way down to the nearside river embankment as well as a full width river view all the way across the river to Kingswear. This is a relatively rare feature as the river view from many properties is only over the rooftops and then onto the river thus denying you the full width river view.
Superbly convenient for all Dartmouth has to offer. One minute walk to town, harbour, quaint historic taverns, restaurants & great shops. Excellent value given the quality, views, location and availability of outside space. Comfortable and superbly located property over two floors. Comfort and style. Panoramic views and exceptionally convenient location. The property is less than 60 seconds from Dartmouth's historic quayside. Sugary Cove beach can be reached on foot and the award winning beaches of Blackpool Sands and Start Bay are minutes away by car.
We recently asked a guest if he felt the property matched up to our photos and info. His response was: "Your photos could have made more of the incredible views from lounge and balcony and the superb location in terms of convenient, easy access to everything Dartmouth has to offer". Well, we thought we had mentioned that but we'll let his comments emphasise those points!
The lounge is comfortable and light with stunning views from all windows and doors. Patio doors from lounge leading to large balcony. TV, Video, DVD & HiFi system. The modern kitchen area is fully equipped with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. Two bedrooms: Twin bedroom with wash basin. Large double bedroom. There is a separate bathroom with bath and separate shower. Prices include bed linen and kitchen towels, please bring bathroom towels/ beach towels.
Parking available either outside the property or on any of the other nearby streets including the river embankment. Also, there is parking in the public carpark just two minutes walk.
Children Welcome. No smoking.

The town of Dartmouth
Dartmouth with its beautiful old-world centre is considered the capital of the South Hams, famous for peaceful rolling countryside, renowned coastline, excellent beaches (Blue Flag status) & coastal walks along footpaths leading to secluded beaches.
Dartmouth’s focal point is its bustling harbour and broad, wooded river. The town is designated a Conservation Area with 16th and 17th century timbered buildings, historic narrow streets, beautiful old shops, intimate pubs and excellent restaurants. Beach lovers will enjoy Sugary Cove near Dartmouth Castle as well as the beautiful Blackpool Sands and the long, unspoilt expanse of beach at Slapton Sands both of which are approximately 10 minutes drive.
Numerous attractions include the outdoor pool, pleasure cruises upriver to Totnes; Sailing or hiring motor boats for exploring the river or fishing; taking the Kingswear car ferry across to Torbay’s more bustling resorts of Brixham, Paignton and Torquay (10-15 minutes) or travelling on the restored steam train running between Kingswear and Paignton.
In August, Dartmouth hosts The Royal Regatta with funfair, sporting events, fireworks dispays and an array of boats. Some of the great beach destinations include Slapton, Torcross, Hope Cove, Beesands, Prawle, Salcombe, Bantham (surfing) Modbury and Thurlestone.
Recommended day trips include the estuary towns of Totnes and Kingsbridge, the riverfront village of Dittisham, a trip to scenic Dartmoor, a visit to the superb Plymouth Aquarium, a day at the truly superb Paignton Zoo or Woodlands Leisure Park.
For fishing enthusiasts there are plenty of opportunities to go out to sea and fish for flat fish, bream, pollock, bass and mackerel. Sharks and Conger Eel are also caught regularly. Fesh water fishermen have abundant opportunities for both coarse and game fishing in well stocked reservoirs or on river beats.
The Devon region
There is a wealth of things see and do in the West Country as well as having some of the most breathtaking scenery in the United Kingdom, it has several award winning beaches to relax on. The climate during the summer is often balmy as the Gulf Stream warms the seas in the area, makes for excellent surfing and other water based pursuits. As far as attractions are concerned there is the Eden Project a vast eco-project with huge bio-domes to explore which offer many species from around the world as well as plenty for kids to do.
