This property is near the beautiful and sheltered Mikros Gialos bay and Poros village in Lefkada:

Mikros Gialos bay lies just below Poros village is acknowledged as one of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Lefkada. It's approximately 28km south of the capital Lefkada town and is nearby the sleepy, quintessentially greek village of of Poros. Mikros Gialos is a very clean, sheltered beach with easy access. The water is a gorgeous blue green from the reflection of the pine trees on the hills surrounding it. There are sun beds and umbrellas available at the beach and several excellent tavernas with daily fresh fish - an ideal place for a quick cool drink or a leisurely shaded lunch / dinner.

A peaceful and extraordinarily beautiful bay. Calm, sheltered water. Great for swimming. The yachts were visiting for lunch at one of the superb tavernas.

The tranquil, sheltered Mikros Gialos bay. Great for swimming, sunbathing and eating at the local tavernas!

The centre photo shows Mikros Gialos bay from the hillside overlooking the area. As can be seen it's a larger bay than some of the photos might suggest.

A superbly romantic setting for lunch, drinks , dinnner or ... all three!

Lefkada Island

Lefkada (or Lefkas) is the undiscovered ‘jewel in the crown’ of the Ionian islands. Mountainous and remote in the centre yet fringed on both sides of the island by some of THE most exceptional beaches in Greece. A photographer's dream. The west coast scenery is breathtaking with long, white sandy beaches and dramatic cliff formations. These west coast beaches include Pefkoulia, Milos, Agios Nikitas, Kathisma, Kalamitsi, Egremni and Porto Katsiki.  On the east side of the island, ten smaller satellite islets dot the sea and the coastline is punctuated with numerous beautiful sheltered bays and scenic wooded backdrops E.G. Vlicho, Mikros Gialos, Sivota and Vassiliki. Although connected to the mainland by a long causeway and floating bridge, Lefkada remains steadfastly island like in the very best of ways. In remote villages older women sport traditional dress and the main town of Lefkas has a charmingly sedate mid-20th-century appeal. The island provides remarkable scenery (coastal and mountain), waterfalls, churches, monasteries, picturesque village, green surroundings and wonderful beaches. From Lefkada you can visit the famous Onassis family island of Scorpios or Meganissi, Ithaca and Kefalonia. Daily cruises depart from Nidri or Vassiliki. Alternatively, you can enjoy the spectacular view of the neighbouring islands from the hills of Lefkada.

Lefkada measures 35 kilometres (22 miles) from north to south, and 15 kilometres (9 miles) from east to west. Its area is 336 square kilometres (130 sq mi). Its highest point is the mountain of Stavrota, 1,158 metres (3,799 feet) above sea level, situated in the middle of the island.
